Planning a whale watching trip usually comes down to two questions: when are the whales there, and which boat should I book? Most towns have a few operators selling similar-looking trips, and the season information is scattered across their sites and official sources.

This site puts both answers in one place for each town: a month-by-month season calendar for the species seen there, and every operator's price, trip length, boat, naturalist and what they promise if no whales show up. We read each operator's own pages and official season sources and link to where we read them. We don't run trips or take bookings; the button on each listing goes straight to the operator.
